A spreader roll consists of an axle curved along its longitudinal axis on which ball bearings and segments are mounted, thus forming a rotating roll. Due to this bowed axle, all kinds of material running over the spreader roll are stretched or spread in axial direction or separated.

In principle, there are two different roll surfaces:

• Rubber Covered Roll
  The special rubber cover is an original product of our company.

  For each application, we have different rubber qualities corresponding to the individual requirements of the application.

• Steel Covered Roll
  With steel rolls, there are special rubber parts between the steel segments taking over the coupling and sealing function. Additionally, they compensate for the convex-concave movement of the roll body, when the roll is rotating.

  The steel roll can be manufactured either with steel, stainless steel, chrome or other kinds of metal coating.
