The Stowe Woodward
spreader roll is
symmetrically curved
along its longitudinal
axis. This roll is of
constant diameter along
its entire face length and
is free turning over a
fixed axle.
The turning force is
provided by a continuous
web which passes
over the roll or by a drive
sheave mounted on the
end of the roll face.
