We have now developed a completely new compound that gives our blanket a simplified start-up and long trouble-free running.

Furthermore tests have proved that cracks have been virtually eliminated. The result is obvious; increased productivity due to reduced down-time and lost production.

Easy start-up
Easy start-up procedures are key-words for our blanket. The blanket is delivered completely ground from our factory and can be fitted directly into the Clupak unit and start to produce sack paper immediately.

Minimum grinding
The main reason for grinding the blanket is to remove the surface cracks that always appear after a time in operation. The new StoPac rubber blanket is in most cases easier to grind and requires less grinding due to the new formulation of the rubber. It is designed to reduce crack propagation to a minimum. This ensures a perfect working surface over a long period and increases blanket life.

Trouble-free running
The increased elasticity of the new compound is the crucial factor. This means that the blanket performs in many ways as if it was softer and the nip pressure can be minimized. There are several advantages. The paper stretch coefficient is optimum, the heat build-up in the blanket is reduced, which gives longer total lifetime, and the grinding requirement is minimized.

As always, we advocate running the blanket with the lowest possible cylinder temperature and nip bar pressure to guarantee good paper quality.
