Huycon Air

Our newly introduced Huycon Air belt extends our Huycon spunlaid technology to the airlaid manufacturing process. The versatile airlaid process combined with the complexity of raw materials puts increased demands on a forming fabric. The range of raw material fibers can vary from 1.5 mm to 12 mm with different source materials including SAP (super absorbent polymer) and chemical binders (latex). In response to these challenges and increased machine speeds, Xerium developed Huycon Air using a 2.5 layer base PET fabric with a fine-mesh product side with engineered air-channel-geometry. And since Huycon Air incorporates conductive weft yarns cross-linked by a conductive edge sealing, this structure provides excellent static electricity dissipation. Benefits include:

  • reduced mark due to high Fiber Support Index
  • excellent static electricity dissipation
  • improved retention of super absorbent polymer
  • superior life potential due to special weave pattern and improved material properties

HuyGlass

Former Position - Huyglass 450 is a double layer fabric constructed of PET in the MD and coextruded PA/PET in the CMD. Benefits include a combination of high fiber support and permeability resulting in superior drainage while not sacrificing fiber retention and web consolidation. The Huyglass 0878 is an “X-weave” double layer fabric constructed with PET in the MD and coextruded PA/PET in the CMD. With its high fiber support and excellent resistance to wear, Huyglass 0878 ensures high mat uniformity, and low bleed, and economic life potential.

Saturator Position - Huyglass 7201 is designed specifically for the most demanding applications incorporating rugged construction, resistance to contamination, and excellent life potential. It is constructed of 100% PET and coextruded PET/PTFE.

VARIBOW

VARIBOW rolls provide the operator to improve the performance of any web by allowing the operator to adjust the bow for each application.  The VARIBOW is recommended when it is difficult to predict the spreading requirements due to variables encountered on machines that run different grades, types and weights of material. VARIBOW rolls are available in sizes from 1-1/2” (38mm) O.D. to 13-1/4” (336mm) O.D. On rolls up to 5-1/8” (130mm), the bow is adjusted by manual ratchet and for the larger a removable hydraulic pump is fastened to a hydraulic ram mechanism.

Roll Cover Technology

Xerium is the global leader in roll cover technology for industrial and commercial applications.  Our unique product portfolio includes covers with rubber, polyurethane and composite materials for the most demanding nonwoven lines.  Click here for more information.
